Cabin Crew Secrets :10 Mistakes Travelers Make(and how to avoid them)

On a plane, small observations come easily—what puts people at ease, what unsettles them, and what they wish they could redo.

1. What to Carry With You Onboard :

Keep your passport, boarding pass, wallet, cash, and cards together in a small pouch.

Flight attendants and airport staff will ask for them at every stop, and misplacing any of these can create unnecessary stress.

Keep your chargers, cables, power bank, and travel adapter neat and ready for every fligh

Medication: Keep all prescription or essential medicine in your hand carry so it’s always accessible.

Use a pill organizer — it keeps your medication secure, labeled, and ready whenever you need it.
Snacks: Pack non-messy, easy-to-eat items like nuts, dried fruit, or energy bars.

• Avoid snacks that can spill, melt, or smell too strong in the confined cabin space.

Comfort Items:

Hand cream → keeps skin soft in dry cabin air
Lip balm → prevents chapped lips
Tissues / wet wipes → quick clean-up or refresh
Eye mask → handy when airlines don’t provide them, helps you rest

2. Dress for Comfort :

Joggers or soft pants → breathable, stretchable, and comfy for long hours
Hoodie or sweatshirt → keeps you warm in cold cabins and is easy to layer
Slip-on shoes → comfortable, easy to remove during security checks or on the plane
Optional accessories: light scarf, socks for extra warm

3. Move & Stretch:

• Sitting for long periods can cause stiffness, swelling, or discomfort.

Cabin crew often see passengers feel much better after simple movements.
Travel resistance band → compact and helps stretch

Foldable footrest → keeps legs elevated on long flights
